Session Descriptions:

12:30pm - ‘Wake Up Your Joy’ settling in session (Emily)

Coming into a new space and a new group is hard - we will begin the day by settling into the space, our bodies, and each other. We will welcome each participant to the group, write a 'concern surrender contract', set intentions, and enjoy some guided self somatic touch and massage. We will start to wake up our bodies to gentle movement, exploring the space and beginning to explore physical boundaries and what it means to move our bodies with joy.

1:30pm - ‘Intuitive Movement’ creative dance (Dianna)

This delicious class combines guided dance and creative movement in a way that requires absolutely no dance experience or ability. We’ll connect the Soul and Human parts of ourselves with empowering expression. This silly and fun class is improvisational but guided so it’s all about you tuning into what feels right for you.

2:15pm - Delicious veggie lunch

A delicious vegetarian lunch will be prepared and served in the cafe. Water will be provided. If you prefer to bring your own food or drink, please feel welcome to do so.

3:00pm - Body gratitude meditation and mindfulness (Frank)

A twist on traditional loving kindness meditation where we explore gratitude for both our bodies and communities as homes.

3:45pm - ‘Return to Play’ yoga (Emily)

Connect with your Queer Joy in this 45 minute yoga class. This playful class invites you to return to a world of play in a way that feels safe, intuitive, and accessible in your body. We will get in touch with our emotions and invite joy and connection whilst cultivating love and gratitude through movement. Expect invitations for intuition and play, as well as invitations to sit back and take in the energy of the space.

4:30pm - Community hangout

Mindfully close your day by connecting with the group and sharing what this experience brought up for you. Frank will be leading a mindful walk at Eaton Park ending in a sit-down hangout.
